THE TWICE-TOLD TALE OF BATMAN AND ROBIN After Batman and Robin capture Nitro Joe and his gang, Dick Grayson fantasizes about how a storyteller from the 34th Century might retell their adventure to an audience of children. The retelling is as fantastic and absurd as the myths of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table are in the 20th century. THE BLIND BATMAN Batman and Robin duel a new foe, Dr. Pneumo, whose air gun blasts Batman off his feet, making him strike his head, injuring his optic nerve, and causing temporary blindness. In order to keep fighting crime, Batman trains his other senses and creates a hearing device that helps him chase crooks. When the Dynamic Duo confront Dr. Pneumo, he once again uses his air gun and causes Batman to hit his head. The second hit makes Batman's vision to return and he is finally able to capture the crooks. BAT-HOUND AND THE CREATURE While Batman and Robin are battling the Lippy Yates gang, Bat-Hound discovers an alien creature that landed on Earth in need of help. The people of Gotham are afraid of the creature and try to eliminate it, but Bat-Hound protects the creature. Batman and Robin investigate the mysterious behavior of Ace and they learn that the alien creature has arrived on Earth by accident and the atmosphere of the planet has caused it to grow many times its original size. When the heroes set out to help the creature, they are captured by Yates and his gang, but not long after this, the creature appears and saves them. As the crooks start running away, they blow up a bridge to avoid being captured, but the creature walks underneath the bridge, holding it together and allowing the Dynamic Duo to capture the criminals. Unfortunately, the creature is soon crushed under the weight of the collapsing bridge and the heroes set up a memorial for the alien creature. After Batman and Robin are gone, Ace rests at the side of his friend's memorial.
